Juke Joint Jimmy Rides Again . . . .

Juke Joint Jimmy is on the way to Australia and New Zealand for a seven month (mostly cycle touring) jaunt.
I shall not be blogging in great detail, but will occasionally post photos which may be accompanied by brief description of who, what, why, where and when. All persons names will be changed to protect the guilty.
The rough plan is:
• In and around Perth, Western Australia, hanging out with Aussie mate until the end of November 2009, exploring various places and sunbathing on the beaches with the Aussie peaches.
• 1 December: from Perth across the south (inland) to Woomera by train (approx. 2 days).
• 3 December: 1000mile+ cycle ride from Woomera down to Port Augusta, Adelaide, and then along the Great Coastal Road to arrive in Melbourne on 20 December to hook up with an old Aussie mate and others for a Christmas and New Year bash.
• mid-January 2010: Ferry across from Melbourne to Devonport in Tasmania to cycle around there for a couple of weeks.
• Back to Melbourne for a few days, before flying to Auckland on 3 February 2010, to rendezvous with old friend who lives there.
• Fly back from Auckland to Melbourne on 13 March 2010.
• 3000 mile+ cycle ride from Melbourne up the East coast of Australia, taking in the Snowy Mountains, Wagga Wagga, Canberra, Wollongong, Sydney, the Gondwana Rainforests, Brisbane and many many many other places along the way until I reach Cairns.
• Fly from Cairns back to Perth for final farewell bash, before returning to the UK on 11 June 2010.
